Pin a Tweet to the top
Twitter has released a Pin a tweet to the top of your twitter account. This is so you can have one core message at the top of your feed so anyone jumping to your page can see what is a hot topic for you.
Tweeters are using this to pin competitions, important information, special blog post, event, or anything you like.
Pinning competitions is a great way to keep on post to the top. Tweeters are then directing people to the pinned post. Which helps then from looking through all the tweets to find them.
How to do a pinned post.
Select the tweet you want to post and click on the three dots and a drop down menu will appear “ Pin to your profile page” From the menu.
Now your post will be pinned at the top of your page. Make sure you don’t forget about it and/or have a time limit on changing these out. You don’t want your audience to get tired of seeing the same thing over and over again.
As always I will add Twitter is about engaging – So don’t forget to jump into some conversations and start actively building your tribe. Not sure what I am talking about when it concerns Tribe? Then read this blog post about “Building your Tribe”
If you are getting good traction on your pinned posts, comment and tell me what posts get the most traction?
