I take being a mum seriously, just like a dedicated storyteller who knows the power of creating unforgettable moments. It’s not simply about ensuring I keep them alive; it’s about weaving a tapestry of cherished memories that will forever reside in their memory banks. These are the moments that shape their lives and become the foundation of their own stories.

So here I am, equipped with determination, ready to embark on the adventure of motherhood. With every ounce of passion in my soul, I strive to create a safe and loving environment for my children to the magic of life.

Like a great movie monologue, I want to immerse them in the joy of playing in the snow, building snowmen with carrot noses and coal eyes. I want them to feel the exhilaration of climbing trees, reaching new heights and conquering their fears. Let them experience the thrill of riding horses, the wind in their hair as they gallop through open fields, their spirits soaring with each stride.

I want them to taste the salt in the air as they surf the beaches, feeling the rush of the waves beneath their boards. And let’s not forget the excitement of crazy night games with torches, and laughter echoing through the darkness as they create memories that will last a lifetime.

During the holidays, we’ll embark on Christmas treasure hunts, searching for hidden surprises and filling their hearts with wonder. We’ll embrace the messy delight of Easter egg making, as they paint and dye eggs with their own creative touch. And of course, there will be the timeless tradition of baking birthday cakes together, mixing ingredients and watching the magic unfold in the oven.

But it’s not just about these individual moments; it’s about connecting them all, like a beautiful storyline. We’ll take walks up mountains, braving the blistering cold, as they learn the power of perseverance and the beauty of nature. And at the end of each day, we’ll gather by the crackling fire, sipping Milos and roasting marshmallows, sharing stories and laughter that will forever warm their hearts.

These are the experiences we must prioritize, the memories we must strive to create. For in those moments, bonds are forged, lessons are learned, and the spirit of adventure is nurtured. These are the ingredients that shape our children’s lives and become the foundation of their own stories.

So, armed with unconditional love, a lot of humour, and the determination to create extraordinary memories, I embark on this journey called motherhood. It may not be a best-selling novel, but it’s a tale worth telling—a narrative of love, growth, and the unbreakable bonds we forge along the way. And as the author of my children’s lives, I’ll continue to write each chapter with passion, care, and the hope of a happy ending.

“I was sluething around in my life with no real direction. I had spent too much time losing myself in books and soap operas, wishing for anything better than the existence I was living then,” I remember.

It was a cold, hard pill to swallow, but I had to admit that I was ultimately the problem. I needed to stop being the bystander and step into the lead role of my life. I needed to control my narrative and decide for myself what my life needed to be.

But it wasn’t easy. Making these types of changes in your life is like something in the universe is set against you, and it will put some pretty heavy challenges in your way so you will fail. As if the universe is testing you to see how much you really want it.

That’s when I started using the mantra every morning – “Today is the day I save myself.” I repeated it all the time so that it replaced my negative victim voice.

It required me to step out of my comfort zone and face my fears, but I slowly started to take charge of my life. I set goals for myself and worked towards achieving them, even if it was one small step at a time. I stopped blaming others for my problems and started taking responsibility for my actions and decisions.

“I discovered that I was capable of achieving more than I ever thought possible. I found myself becoming more proactive, rather than reactive. I started to make decisions based on what I wanted for myself, instead of what others wanted for me,” I explained.

“I began to trust in my abilities and, more importantly, trust myself. That trust was so small and wavering at the beginning, but it became one of the most important tools I use now and always by instinct. I trust my intuition on my ability to pull things off (projects, ideas, business goals),” I continued.

Looking back, I can see how far I’ve come. I’m no longer the person I used to be. I’ve grown, and I’ve learned so much about myself in the process. Life isn’t always easy, but it’s up to us to make the most of it.

If you’re feeling stuck in a rut, remember that you have the power to take charge of your life. “You never know what amazing things could be waiting for you on the other side,” I concluded.
