Burnt out

Being in business is a lot of hard work. You are the one that can be responsible for ALL the tasks. You hold everything up and one thing I have learnt is that there is not enough hours in the day. There is always, something more you could do.
I have talked in the past about BALANCE and one thing I am great at is giving advice and not taking my own Advice.
I am very good at helping others but have found that I am terrible at listening to my own advice.
A lot of the issue is that I love to work. I love what I do and while a lot of it doesn’t feel like work it is indeed working.
I have lost the ability to STOP.
It was while on a long walk with my Offspring (who I have discovered is incredibly insightful) Who pointed out that I am LAZY when it comes to my personal life. I was blown away and angry. Until I realised she was right.
Everything I do is based around work, weekend are work events, books are business books, videos are “How to do’s, listening to music turns to listening to podcasts..
Everything stems around work ! I wasn’t doing thing just for the pleasure of doing them.
And I have been doing it so long that I have burnt out. I suffered weeks and weeks of illness due to my body just shutting down and then I hit burn out mode.
Burning out is a real thing and for someone who has had Glandular fever in the past it can overcomplicate things and turn into other afflictions (which is another blog post)
I have been lucky to have incredibly support from friends, work colleagues and slowly I am getting back on my feet but the future has some huge changes. Which includes a lot less work and more time to recover.
We can push and hustle as much as we would like but if you don’t put YOU first then you are never going to WIN.
